This 6-day safari takes you through some of Tanzania’s most breathtaking landscapes and iconic wildlife destinations. From the elephant herds of Tarangire to the dramatic predator-prey interactions along the Mara River, the adventure continues with cultural encounters at Lake Eyasi and the diverse ecosystems of Ngorongoro Crater.

Tour Plan

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Depart from Arusha in the morning for Tarangire National Park. Spend the day exploring the park’s expansive landscapes, iconic baobab trees, and large elephant herds. Spot giraffes, zebras, lions, and a variety of bird species during your game drives. After an exciting day, relax at a lodge or camp near the park for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire to Mara River (Northern Serengeti)
Travel from Tarangire to the Northern Serengeti, where the Mara River awaits. Upon arrival, embark on an afternoon game drive, focusing on the dramatic crossings of the Great Migration (seasonal) and the predators that follow. Spend the evening at a lodge or tented camp near the Mara River.

Day 3: Full Day at Mara River
Spend the entire day exploring the Northern Serengeti. Witness the dramatic wildlife spectacle at the Mara River, including wildebeest crossings and interactions between crocodiles and predators like lions and leopards. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the stunning landscapes and return to your lodge or camp for a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Another Day at Mara River
Immerse yourself in the beauty and intensity of the Mara River area with another full day of game drives. Track big cats, marvel at the birdlife, and soak in the unforgettable sights and sounds of this region. As the day concludes, relax at your lodge, cherishing your Serengeti adventure.

Day 5: Mara River to Ngorongoro Crater
Depart the Serengeti after breakfast and journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive, where you can spot black rhinos, lions, elephants, and a wide variety of other wildlife. Afterward, ascend the crater rim and travel to your lodge or camp near Ngorongoro for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Ngorongoro to Lake Eyasi (Cultural Experience) and Return to Arusha
Travel to Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. Join the Hadzabe on a morning hunt, learning about their traditional hunting and gathering practices. Visit the Datoga to observe their metalworking skills. After lunch by the lake, return to Arusha, concluding your unforgettable safari adventure.
