Overview

This safari takes you through the highlights of renowned parks of northern Tanzania. The tour starts at Tarangire, famous for its dense wildlife population then to Ngorongoro crater, which supports a year round resident population of mammals. A visit to Serengeti follows, a big game haven that hosts over 3 million large mammals. Finally, we head to Lake Manyara national park, an ornithologists’ paradise known for the elusive tree-climbing lions.

DAY 1

Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport

Upon arrival, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to the hotel you have reserved. The guide provides a brief safari briefing. For dinner and an overnight stay, check into the hotel.

DAY 2

Game Drive In Manyara National Park

Pick up from your Arusha hotel for a 2-hour drive to Manyara, which is nestled amid the foothills of the Great Rift Valley. Investigate the gorgeous green park with underground rivers. The famous tree-climbing lions, elephants, baboons, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, monkeys, and a variety of bird species can all be seen during a game drive. After a short break for lunch, continue on to Lake Manyara. View the game to appreciate the beauty of the lake and to observe flamingos laid out in a beautiful pattern across the water. Transfer to the hotel for dinner and sleep.

DAY 3

Serengeti National Park Transfer and Half-Day Game Drive

Breakfast early and check out of the motel for a brief adventure. In their natural habitat, they went on a game drive in quest of other animals. See hot natural water emerge from the ground and trickle over the rocks at the hot springs. At one of the picnic areas, take a break for lunch. Drive to the private Serengeti after leaving the park. Transfer to the booked hotel for an overnight stay upon arrival.

DAY 4

A full day of game viewing at Serengeti National Park

Take a day trip inside the park to see big cats, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, antelopes, and other animals. You'll see a wide range of bird species. After a picnic lunch, continue with the game viewing. Transfer to the booked hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 5

Ndutu Plains Full-Day Game Drive

After a delicious breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to Ndutu. Enjoy a full day of adventure in the breathtaking Ndutu plains. Hundreds of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes are seen traveling together in this game view. Because the savannah plains are suitable for the herds, it is frequently calving season. Other animals you might see include jackals, spotted hyenas, lions, antelopes, and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch, continue on with the game drive till the evening. Transfer to the booked hotel for dinner and sleep.

DAY 6

Serengeti Half-Day Game Drive and Transfer To Ngorongoro

Explore the Serengeti's boundless plains in pursuit of wildebeests, elands, toppi, warthogs, and more. In the park, you'll see a variety of bird species. After a short break for lunch, continue on to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive in the late afternoon and be transferred to your pre-arranged accommodation for the night.

DAY 7

Game Drive in the Ngorongoro Crater

Drive to Ngorongoro after checking out of the accommodation with a packed lunch. Descend the Ngorongoro Crater, which is home to tens of thousands of animals and birds. Elephants, giraffes, elands, hyenas, antelopes, oryx, jackals, and other animals can be observed on a game drive in the crater, which is the only area where the big five can be seen all at once. Come across a wide range of things. . Break for a picnic lunch and proceed with game viewing till evening. Ascend out the crater and drive to the booked hotel in Mto wa Mbu.

DAY 8

Game Drive in Tarangire and Transfer to Arusha

Breakfast early and check out of the motel with a packed lunch. Begin your tour in Tarangire National Park, which is home to many elephants and baobab trees. Hundreds of elephants, big cats, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and monkeys can be seen on a game drive in the gorgeous park. After a picnic lunch at a nearby location, continue game viewing until late afternoon. Exit the park and return to Arusha or the airport in time for your flight.

DAY 1

Arusha- Tarangire National Park

From Arusha, we proceed to Tarangire National Park for our game drive. One of the largest national park in Tanzania located in Manyara region, this place is characterized by the large herds of elephants, tree climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees also called the Tree of Life for its almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it. This park is especially known for Tarangire river which flows all year round and the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons.

DAY 2

Serengeti Central (Cental Seronera)

After breakfast, we proceed to the Central part of Serengeti. This park is well-known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the "big five", named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffaloes, and Rhinos.

DAY 3

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will set off on a full day game drive in the wilderness following the Great Migration trails. Our experienced driver tour guide will provide you with interesting facts about this highly renowned event, which makes Tanzania the top safari destination in Africa. Serengeti, a UNESCO world heritage site, is home to around 200,000 zebras, and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle, which join in the wildebeest's trek for fresh grazing. Listen to the exotic sounds of over six million hooves pounding the open plains. This is just like you imagined Africa to be!

DAY 4

Serengeti North (Kogatende)

After breakfast, we will proceed for a full day game drive viewing the great migration at Mara area. Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area. The key feature is the Mara River and there is a great chance to see the herds cross the Mara River to the north on one day and back south a few days later. Please note that it can be very difficult to witness crossing and is sometimes a matter of luck. A herd can be seen next to river and only decide to cross a couple of days later. This area is a stunning region with kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation and open plains, similar to Kenya's Masai Mara Game Reserve.

DAY 5

Serengeti National Park (North Mara)

After breakfast, we will drive to Serengeti north viewing the great migration at Mara area. The key feature is the Mara River and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later. Please take note that finding a crossing is very challenging and is sometimes a matter of luck. There are instances where herds can be seen next to the river but then only decides to cross a couple of days later. This area is a stunning region with kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation and open plains, similar to Kenya's Masai Mara Game Reserve

DAY 6

Serengeti - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

In the morning, we will have another game drive in Serengeti National Park. Come afternoon, we proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Olduvai Gorge museum, a famous archaeological location in East Africa. At Laetoli, located 45 km south of Olduvai gorge, you will find hominin footprints preserved in volcanic rock that dates back 3.6 millions years ago and represent some of the earliest signs of mankind in the world.

DAY 7

Ngorongoro Crater

We start with an early morning game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. Ngorongoro was established to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. It also safeguards the interests of indigenous people and promotes tourism.

Lake Manyara to Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara for the morning game drive afternoon we make our way back to Arusha or at the airport for your flight back home.
